Trekking in Upper Mustang – Want to experience Nepal in Tibetan Plateau? 14 Days Trekking

Upper Mustang trekking is a relatively new route for tourists. The route was opened some fifteen years ago. The foreign tourists need trekking permits and go only in groups.  With unique, history, culture, and beautiful scenery, Upper Mustang is increasingly popular among the trekkers. The thinly populated area is hard to travel from one village to another, and you will need at least four hours to travel from one village to another.

This route takes you to an old Kingdom, The Kingdom of Mustang, also known as Lo. This has cultural, linguistic, and geographical proximity to Tibet. The trekking trails you trail are the old for trade between Nepal and Tibet. The royal palace, monasteries including ThugchenGompa constructed in the 15th century, are the main attractions of the place. Want to go outside Lomanthang? Then, see an old cave dwelling.
