Detailed Itinerary – Mt. Everest Helicopter Tour
The Mt. Everest Helicopter Tour lifts off in the morning as this is when the weather is the best for Everest flights. Your representative of Himal Tourism Pvt. Ltd. will meet you at your hotel and take you by private vehicle to the airport. Board the chopper; the pilot takes a leisurely course over the mountains.
The first stop is at Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. It’s necessary to stop for fuel. Here you can stretch your legs while looking at the amazing Himalayas. From here, lift off and head eastward over the district village of Namche Bazaar to reach your next stop. Here at 3800 meters (12,467 ft.), we’ll have breakfast. This is the famed Everest View Hotel, a five-star facility with Mt. Everest for a backdrop.
Reboard your helicopter after 30 minutes and fly over the beautiful Gokyo Valley. Below are the famed Gokyo Lakes. These sacred lakes are a deep, rich blue with glacier-fed waters. The green valley below is a farming area surrounded by the snowcapped peaks. Terraced farms hang off the cliffs, providing the Sherpa people land where they can grow food to feed their families.
